Once upon a time There was an Emperor Who fought with All his might Conquered all In his stead Killing and spilling Spreading fear Till he met someone In one of his sprees Of loot and plunder A woman Bereft of everything Lost But in her green eyes he saw A love he had never Seen before Never felt such passionate emotions Till the time He held out his hand To touch her face And his world stood still As he travelled Between time and space To be with her In a different place In a different clime.

Remember the day
I was 13 and you 19
I used to pull at your shirt
While you walked
Ahead of me
Through the narrow 
Village path.
And you would get angry
Refuse to talk to me
Refuse to take the sweets
I would get you?
As we
Sat by the river
Subdued whispers of the trees
And...
Then you would turn 
And look at me
Touch my hair
And cheeks..
And gently hold my hands
I would be happy
Seeing you smile
While your dimples
Enamoured me!

I have met you before
I have seen your eyes before
I have seen your smile before
I have seen your love
Felt the passion
And the pain
Of being yours
Of being in a body
That belongs to you
Thinking your thoughts
Dreaming your nights 
And days.
Drinking the fountain
Of aroma
Of Your body!
I am but a mere
Flower at your feet.
In your temple
As the bells chime
I recollect
Your warm embrace
Where we spent our 
Space
In time
Only to bloom
Into the fairy child
Of tomorrow!
